Our Hope Clinic Information Video is now available for viewing from our Website Home Page. It is also on You Tube via the Internet! We are thrilled that Web technology now allows us to bring our Video from the C/D format to viewing directly on the computer. A salute to Audrey Brown and MMIT Publishing Co. for enhancing and bringing the Video to our Website. A short, concise overview of Hope Clinic is but a click away!

NEW SERVICE- SCHOOL VISITS PROVIDE THE LINK BETWEEN CLASSROOM LEARNING AND VISION THERAPY.

LISA KNOPP TEAMS WITH SCHOOLS FOR YOUR CHILD.

In order to provide the best help to our patients who are children going to school, we are offering a new service to our families. With written parent permission, Lisa Knopp will visit your child’s teacher to help them understand how the child’s vision issues relate to their learning and classroom experience. She will provide suggestions for classroom accommodations, which will enhance the child’s learning in the classroom. She will also attend IEP meetings (if applicable) and meet individually with Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, School Counselors, or other professionals working with your child in the schools.

Lisa’s two decades of teaching experience give her a perspective that allows her to deeply understand the school experience. If you would like to take advantage of this service, please fill out the permission form and provide us the contact information we need to set up a school visit/meeting. We understand the benefit of TEAMWORK to best help your child.

THANK YOUS TO….

The entire Hope Clinic Staff thanks Mary Mierbeth for her wonderful leadership in developing and launching our new Website. Mary took photos, created our new logo and much more. Mary also coordinated the Staff efforts, with great support from Lead Vision Therapist Lisa Knopp.

It was also such a pleasure to work with Website creator Olga Szemetylo and Aglo Creations who blessed us with the technical expertise and brought our site to the worldwide web.

We welcome all your comments, suggestions, and corrections. As with any major Website, this is a work in progress – help from our Patients, Families and Friends is most appreciated.

DID YOU KNOW ONE OUT OF TEN PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE 3-D VISION?

3D vision

"Toystory",“Avatar” and other movies and books have started a 3-D revolution.

TV is now offering programming in a 3-D format. Parts of the picture appear to come right at the viewer, creating an incredible sense of realism. This is the new technology – the “wave of the future.”

Yet many people cannot appreciate 3-D vision. The two eyes must work precisely together (called binocular vision) in order for 3-Dd vision to be appreciated. Strabismus (eye turn), Amblyopia (reduced vision in one or both eyes) and other Disorders of Binocular Function, such as Convergence Insufficiency, can significantly reduce the 3-D impact.

Patient at Hope Clinic

Lead Vision Therapist Lisa Knopp has created an informative presentation on 3-D viewing. Power point slides and hands-on demonstrations explain how the eyes and brain create 3-D visual responses. This Presentation is available at no charge to PTA’s, Teacher Workshops, Homeschool Parent Groups, and other interested organizations.

Lisa is also available to give talks related to general understanding of Vision Therapy Benefits, and Prevention of Visual Dysfunctions. Call or email Lisa (425-462-7800) to set up your group’s presentation.
