Developmental Vision Optometry
Learning Disabilities/Dyslexia
Many children and adults have severe visual dysfunctions that make academic learning difficult. Difficulties in eye tracking, eye focusing, and eye alignment are often the culprit - eye refraction and eye optics are seldom a factor. Special lenses and Orthoptics/Vision Therapy can restore normal visual function and make academic learning easier
Strabismus and Amblyopia
Many types of Strabismus (eye turn) and Amblyopia (lazy eye) are successfully treated with Orthoptics/Vision Therapy. Studies show Orthoptics to offer a far greater cure (success) rate than a surgical alternative.
Computer Vision
Computer operators often experience severe eyestrain and headaches from prolonged computer work. Special computer lenses and Orthoptics/Vision Therapy will relieve these symptoms and allow normal computer work over an extended time period.
Sports Vision
Athletes from little leaguers to the pros can benefit from increased visual concentration and ability to "keep the eye on the ball." Sports vision techniques are used by many pro teams to enhance the performance of the players.
Myopia (Nearsightedness) Reduction
Small amounts of nearsightedness may respond to reduction or elimination with Orthoptics/Vision Therapy. This eliminates the need for constant far vision glasses or contact lenses.
